North Carolina Licensed Real Estate Broker Lisa Dye Janes has been listing and selling North Carolina real estate since 2000, serving as a Broker/Realtor for eight years with Distinctive Properties; and for 11 years at Weichert, Realtors — Mark Thomas Properties, where she is presently employed. In addition to specializing in residential properties in the Durham area, she also lists, sells and manages historic & commercial properties across the state.
Lisa has always loved older homes. Back in the 1980s, she and husband, Terry, lived in and restored an old farmhouse in Simpsonville, SC. More recently, Lisa and her family renovated and sold a 1940s bungalow in Durham's Northgate Park. Lisa's parents lived in an 110-year-old farmhouse that they renovated and later sold in the Fairview community of Fountain Inn, SC.
When Lisa isn't busy listing and selling homes, she practices yoga and sings in a Praise Band at church. She is a professional pet-sitter and rescues homeless dogs. A graduate of the University of South Carolina College of Journalism, Lisa is a former newspaper editor and reporter. She and her husband live in Durham and are members of Mount Sylvan United Methodist Church and have two adult children: Hunter, who lives with his wife in Raleigh; and Adrienne, who lives in Spartanburg, SC, with Lisa’s grandson.
